Professor Michael E. Porter (Chair of Strategic Advisors) is a leading authority on competitive strategy, the competitiveness and economic development of nations, states, and regions, and the application of competitiveness principles to social problems such as health care, the environment, and corporate responsibility. Porter is the Bishop William Lawrence University Professor at Harvard University.

Professor Paul E. Gray was the President of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1980 to 1990, and Chairman of the MIT Corporation from 1990 to 1997. He is currently Professor Emeritus of Electrical Engineering at MIT.

Professor Dudley R. Herschbach is Professor Emeritus of Science at Harvard University. He received the 1986 Nobel Prize in Chemistry with two colleagues for work elucidating the molecular dynamics of chemical elementary processes. Dr. Herschbach is also Professor of Physics & Chemistry at Texas A&M University.

General Larry D. Welch (Retired) was the 12th Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force, serving in this role and as one of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 1986 to 1990. He is currently President of the Institute for Defense Analyses in Alexandria, Virginia.
